Meet Dr. Karen McDaniel

Karen has made a career out of turning complex leadership challenges into opportunities for unparalleled growth. In addition to founding Empowering Executives, she held significant tenure at higher education institutions in Tennessee, Virginia, and Arkansas where she served as Associate Professor of Management, Department Chair, Director of Community Engagement, and Faculty Athletics Representative. She holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management and has been published in a variety of leading academic and industry journals. 

She has served both regionally and nationally through her board positions on her local Chamber of Commerce, SHRM, and United Way, as well as on the NCAA FARA Executive Committee. Karen’s background in academia, combined with her hands-on leadership development experience, provides a robust framework for her understanding of organizational and executive effectiveness. At Empowering Executives, she fulfills her passion for empowering leaders by fostering a collaborative environment where they can share insights, challenge assumptions, and drive growth both personally and professionally.
